Charlotte Gnessin (Mrs. Baker) grew up in North Carolina and is the only cast member to have ever said "groovy" in a normal conversation.  After receiving a BFA in Drama from East Carolina University, she went to New York in search of adventure, fame, and fortune... and found a smaller apartment than Don's.  In New York, she studied with Stella Adler, Nicolas Ray, and, at the Actors' Institute, with Allen Shor, David Kagen and Sally Fisher.  In New York, Charlotte appeared in Cry Havoc (Nydia Joyce), French Grey (Marie Antoinette), and Artist's Pallet (Servatoress).  In Regional Theater, she's appeared in The Rimers of Eldritch (Eva Jackson), Champagne Complex (Ally Macy), and in The Sound Of Music (the Baroness).  Charlotte lives in Arlington, VA, with her husband, her two children, her dog, her rabbit, her fish and various fauna that often visit from the woods behind her house.
