synopsis

Based on Ken Kesey’s acclaimed best seller this play is about oppression and its affect on society, through the metaphor of a mental ward in the early 1960s and its unlikely inhabitants. We see the struggle between the patients and the powerful Big Nurse through the eyes of Chief Bromden, a mute patient, who has seen too much and defiantly tries to speak out.
