Don Kenefick (Robert)
grew up in the Washington, DC area, and has been lucky
enough to occasionally parlay his interests in theater,
historical sailing, and singing into a living. Sometimes
they converge in interesting ways: Don has crewed on
tall ships that were being filmed for movies, played sea
captains or sailors on stage, and sung chanteys while
working aboard ships. Don was last seen on stage playing
Dick Cheney in the Washington Fringe Festival’s
Production of You Don’t Know Dick. Prior to that, he was
the Mad Cardinal in the Studio Theatre’s production of
Galileo. He also studied at Studio Theatre’s
Conservatory. Don is a member of Ship’s Company
Chanteymen, a musical group dedicated to keeping alive
the tradition of sea songs and chanteys. |
